4 years ago I gave up smoking, 3 years ago I downloaded couch to 5K, since that day I’ve run 8 half marathons and I’m now training for my first marathon. Believe in yourself you can do this

It wasn’t fast and it wasn’t pretty but it was 22.7 miles (supposed to be 23 but I hit my front door 0.3 miles early). It tops off a 47 mile week. I reminded myself I couldn’t have even contemplated this a year ago and if it was easy everyone would do it. Have a lovely weekend xx

As I’m a bit of a tortoise 🐢 this is huge for me. After 4 years of running, I decided this year I was going to work on pace. Thanks to huge support (and basically telling me what to do every week) from my awesome coach, I’ve finally got my 5K under half an hour 🥳🥳🥳 xx

So I’m January I set a target to run 500 miles this year, I never dreamed it was possible. Then today 7th August I hit that 500 mile marker. I’ve now upped it to 621 (1,000 km) but a huge thank you to all you lovely people who kept me going 😁😁 xx

Went to the physio today as my foot is still not right and he’s diagnosed that I have a stress fracture in it. I have to take 4 weeks off running. Then come back at week 8 of couch too 5K ☹️☹️. Just have to keep reminding myself that the medal on the wall was worth it xx

20 Miles run today! In August 22, I injured myself on this run meaning I had to run the marathon with an injury. Today, I encountered sunshine, gale force winds, hail stones torrential rain, a kid falling off his motorbike but I got it done and don’t feel any injuries!!!! Xx
