It was not autonomy under USSR, it was autonomous oblast w/in AZERBAIJAN SSR
There was no constitutional law for them to separate without consent of AZSSR & USSR and they received none.
And after killing & deporting all Azerbaijanis they also lost the moral right for anything!

In 1912 population of Armenians in Ottoman Empire was 1,018,000, in 1914 1,230,007. Considering the times population growth of 212k is reasonable. It’s unlikely that it increased by 270K by 1915.
