3) Confidence - us older writers just give less of a crap. Some people will love your book, others might not love it so much, but ultimately, you've written a book. Not that many people achieve this.

2) Endurance - older writers spend years honing their craft, keeping going, never giving up. I run ultra marathons (occasionally) and writing a novel is very similar - you just keep putting one foot in front of the other, one word in front of the next.

4) Family life is (mostly) easier - I started writing long before my kids were born. My youngest are 19 yo now, my eldest 22. They all sleep through the night, and feed themselves now...mostly😂 freeing me up to write.
