My family is mixed Catholic & Protestant. I was raised Catholic and for most of the 90s I would be seen with my Rangers top on in the stands at Ibrox. Within my own family it was never an issue, I was the solitary Rangers fan in a house that was Celtic daft!

So tonight was my first night door knocking this campaign. I’ve been delivering letters, designing election addresses, billboards & leaflets etc but to date had yet to speak to a voter. I was absolutely crippled with anxiety at the prospect of chapping a strangers door.
