Today I asked in the chamber what targeted measures are being put in place in Glasgow to tackle gang-related violence and support prevention programmes for young people at risk. Our city deserves action, not words. #Glasgow

The SNP and Greens had the chance to stand with victims of grooming gangs, instead, they turned their backs. Voting against justice for survivors is indefensible and shameful. They’ve shown where their priorities lie, and it’s not with protecting the vulnerable.
Here are all the SNP and Green MSPs who shamefully voted against getting justice for the victims of the grooming gangs👇

Over a decade has passed since the Red Road flats were demolished, yet the land still lies derelict. Last week, I asked the Scottish Government when this site will finally be brought back into productive use. The people of Glasgow deserve answers and action, not another decade

Shameful that the SNP blocked @LiamKerrMSP amendment for a Scottish grooming gangs inquiry in the Victims Bill. We know these gangs operate here, victims deserve answers, accountability, and justice, not denial. #VictimsBill #GroomingGang

MSPs will debate over 100 amendments to the Scottish Government's flagship Victims bill on Tuesday but Scottish Tory attempts to launch a grooming gang inquiry is expected to be blocked by the Nats.

Two failed marriages later and Farage has the audacity to lecture on stability... Same-sex couples are just as valid as any other relationship.
Farage: "the most stable relationships, the ones the last the long, tend to be between women and men" We have members in our organisation who have been in loving, committed relationships for longer than Farage's marriages combined. Same-sex relationships are not inferior.

Here is a side of the Thistle you don't see addressed very often. The residents of Calton are being forced out of their own communities. Locals deserve to feel safe in their homes, yet SNP ministers remain attached to a failing policy that is fuelling more harm, not tackling
EXCL: A resident living near the UK’s first safer drugs consumption room in Glasgow says she’s felt forced to move away from the Calton community. Angela claims the facility has attracted dealers and users from outwith the local area who loiter outside homes during the night ⬇️

Very concerning reports from Glasgow of a man's death and several others becoming very ill after smoking crack or freebase cocaine. My thoughts are with all those affected. Urgent action is needed to tackle Scotland's drug death crisis and keep our communities safe. #Glasgow

The SNP's flagship facility in Glasgow has failed to reduce drug deaths to tackle the root causes of addiction. Instead of pouring millions more into it, or opening more sites, ministers must back our Right To Recovery Bill and deliver real solutions. #Glasgow #TheThistle

World Suicide Prevention Day may be over, but the conversation definitely isn’t. Let's all make it our mission to do keep taking action to prevent suicide. Whether it's simply checking in on someone or sharing our number 💚

Victims deserve answers and accountability. That's why @RussellFindlay1 is right to call for an amendment to the Victims bill which would lead to an inquiry into grooming gangs. Survivors must be heard, and lessons must be learned. #FMQs #GroomingGangs #Scotland
Scottish Conservatives leader @RussellFindlay1 calls on the government to back a Tory amendment to the Victims Bill which he says would lead to an inquiry into grooming gangs. "The government should want to properly examine this scandal but have so far been resistant." #FMQs

Today we remember the thousands of lives lost on 9/11 and the families, friends, and communities forever changed by that tragic day. Our thoughts are with all those who continue to live with the grief and legacy of such unimaginable loss. We will never forget. #NineEleven

My thoughts are with Charlie Kirk's family right now who are all grieving at this time. Violence like this is always a loss.

Scotland deserves more than sticking plasters. The Thistle was meant to help people off drugs and into recovery, yet (from the most recent FOI data), not one person has been helped onto a recovery pathway. Drug policy can't just be about preventing death, it must give people
"There's no actual evidence that it's working." @AnnieWellsMSP has called for "something meaningful" to be done, after new figures showed that suspected drug deaths in Glasgow have stayed at the same level of last year, despite the opening of the safe drug consumption rooms.
