Why can’t people just listen and respect you and why isn’t the train manager enforcing keeping the wheelchair space free from luggage so these confrontations can be avoided.
Which train operator was this?
Cheapest rail tickets can no longer be bought at ticket offices as passengers forced to go online
Millions of older/disabled people aren’t online & rely on ticket office
Operators should be legally obliged to treat all customers fairly for price + access
Blue concrete blocks and pavement cafe reduces the pavement width and blocks are adjacent to the lamppost
Prevents wheelchair user’s proceeding
Location - before the junction at Castle Street, Liverpool
Please can this be rectified

The Guardian view on closing train station ticket offices: the wrong route
This process needs to be stopped in its tracks
Train operators pressured by a government which, here as in other matters, knows the price of everything and the value of nothing
•Government figures 160,680,000 tickets sold at offices last year
•TSSA research shows up to 360 million tickets sold a year
•Ticket offices give best deals, including split ticketing
•D50 50% discount tickets not available on TOC apps, websites + most TVMs
On average, just one in ten ticket transactions are sold across the ticket office counter. Ten years ago, it was one in three. It is therefore reasonable to ask if the railway should adapt and redeploy staff around stations where all passengers will benefit from their service.
