Today marks 20 years since I started training as a Primary Care Graduate Mental Health Worker (PWP in today's money!). I've always remained part of the low intensity workforce both in services & training. Proud of what we started, where we are going & proud of my role in it all!.

Last night we met parents/carers at @LancashireMinds to listen to their experience & thoughts on how services need to improve to better support both children who self harm and the family unit. Blown away by their openness, strength & compassion for each other. Thank you so much.
Tonight Iām so very proud of the Parents/Carers for taking part in the @LSCftImprove participation study with regards to Self Harm. They absolutely laid their souls out and openly discussed their feelings around communication and the lack of professional support available.
