3 years ago yesterday , I enrolled at Uclan for the tna course. Fast forward to now, I’m 10 months away from becoming a registered mental health nurse. Both courses on the apprenticeship pathway. Such a fantastic opportunity for career development and I wouldn’t change a thing

Love my job. Been supporting one of our international nurses on ward. She said to me that she checks rota and when they see me on shift with them, it makes them happy as will learn a lot. Immensely proud to get feedback like this, we were all learners once, support each other.!

Did a bank shift today with one of my best friends. We both interviewed for TNA on same morning , went to uni together for two years. Interviewed for top up same day. Now today. On shift together as RNA/RNDA. 10 months away from being a RMN. Was a great shift btw. We are ace ❤️

Two weeks in to my district nursing, so many skills learned. I’m fully comfortable in leg dressings, wound management, catheters. Such a great skill set to take back to the inpatient wards. Learning by doing is my strength for sure.
