@Marni_Chandra We can't teach skills in isolation...the most important part of phonics instruction is giving students plenty of practice in applying those skills in their reading and writing-- with feedback. Yes, you certainly jump to a lot of conclusions. :P

@Marni_Chandra No, I haven't written a phonics program. I was giving a presentation on how to improve your phonics instruction. I showed teachers tweaks they could make to the phonics programs they already have. Ways to build in engagement, routines, etc. Programs don't teach, teachers do. 😊
