@WynnedownA @lporiginalg Not really. The Emperor was the 225th direct descendant of King Solomon & the Queen of Sheba. King David was the cousin of Jesus Christ and father of Mong Solomon. Emperor Haile Selassie hails from this line and is viewed as the second coming of the Messiah.

@HaileNasr @lporiginalg Menelik II was not his maternal grandfather! Ethiopian Emperors were not preoccupied with issues of race or racism. The Emperor argued that there is one race, which is a human race. There are no lesser benefits of being a descendant of King Solomon! :)

@PartisaCathala @lporiginalg Yemen was part of Ethiopia in ancient history. Africa has never been a contingent of homogenous people. Ethiopia is reflective of this as are other nations in Africa.
