We’re pulling together to support each other and my Dad but it’s been tough.
My sister just found the below passage, written in my mum’s writing, at the back of her diary.

Officers please show some restraint when apply COVID 19 powers. Just dealt with a client at Court who was accosted by officers for sitting on a bench eating biscuits. He told them to ‘take a hike’ and ended up getting arrested. This was Thursday AM. In Court this PM. DJ not happy

I work for one of the oldest law firms in the city near to where I live. Tonight a client requested that he be represented by one of the brothers after which the firm is named. I then had to explain to that both of those brothers died in the late 1800s… It’s a funny old world.

My Boss is an absolute legend… Took a client back to his bail hostel to prevent him being breached. There were no buses or trains due to strikes… It was a 120 mile round trip which will NOT be paid… Bravo!! 👏 👏

Dealt with a potentially tricky (and serious!) job last night. Credit where its due, the officer was very pleasant and efficient. Didn’t make a drama out of a crisis and then followed the attendance up with an email re the outcome within an hour of me leaving. Very good job! 👍😀

Completely agree re the police. It’s not their job and they have neither the capacity nor the training to deal with it effectively beyond sticking her in a cell. I’m sure they would ALL agree! As for the outcome, she’s STILL there!
