My junior year I sat recovering from a torn ACL & kept saying I'd be ready for senior year. AAU was great until it came crashing down. I'll miss my final year of basketball due to retearing my ACL. But I have the best surgeon who says I'll be a beast for college ball!

Just an update I wish wasn’t true. At the end of May during a BBall game, I tore my ACL. I am scheduled for surgery July 11. So I won’t be at

Nearly a year after tearing my ACL, I’m a sectional champion!! All glory to God for writing more chapters of my story! And lots of thanks to a really great coach who believes in me and encourages me to do my best!

I’ve made the tough choice not to play in the All-Star Classic on Saturday. I am incredibly involved in 4H and I have 4H activities I need to fulfill at the same time. 4H only happens one week a year. I wish I could be in two places at once! I appreciate being nominated to play

10 months. 41 weeks. 284 days. The day I’ve been doing hours of physical therapy, strength training & extra workouts for finally happened as I took the court to kick off my AAU season. Four games later, I feel amazing and am so happy to be back in the court!

It’s been 9 months of sitting and watching. Today I finally got to practice!! I can’t wait for my first AAU game. My teammates are awesome and it’s going to be a great spring/summer!

243 days ago I tore my ACL during my AAU game. 200 days ago I had surgery to repair my ACL. And today I was officially released from physical therapy!! Next up is more strength and speed training and seeing how God is going to use me and this chapter of my story!

On this day, one year ago, I had ACL surgery and doubted what my basketball future looked like. Fast forward a year, I played 9 games in the past 5 days with two amazing teams and teammates. My knee feels great and I have learned to never doubt God’s plan!

One week after ACL surgery and I can finally lift my leg! Using a little science to wake up my muscles and a whole lot of determination. Surgeon said the key to getting rid of the crutches is the ability to lift my leg…on to a new goal! 🙌🏼

Follow up visit with my surgeon on Monday and therapy today. My surgeon promised me I'll be back stronger than I've ever been and that this knee won't be a problem again! He's already impressed with how far I can bend it and that the crutches are more annoying than needed :)

If you look close, I have a “basketball pinkie finger” that doesn’t go straight anymore! Circus City Parade day. Smiled and laughed so much that my face hurt! Little girls wanted to wear my crown and talk to me. I hope I made them smile too.

Today, 13 days after ACL surgery, the stitches came out, I’m off the crutches and on the comeback trail! My Dr and his team said my knees looks great! God-willing that was my last knee surgery ever!!

First game last night. I had the chance to talk to a girl on the opposing team who had just had ACL surgery too. I realized God is using me in this journey as I’m able to encourage other people through my injury!

So close to getting this brace off! I can straighten my knee to more than flat, can bend up to 145* (PT said 120* is normal…who wants just normal?!) and have no pain when biking. Been putting up lots of shots (not jumping) and trying to be patient!

My favorite part of the game is the and 1’s 💪🏻 My team went 3-2, finished as runner up in the championships and my weekend high game was 21 points. Third weekend back after ACL recovery. All praise to God and good therapists for playing again!

Last year I watched my brother show my pigs because I had a torn ACL. This year I came home with Reserve Grand Champion gilt (2nd place overall). And 4th overall gilt. This smile is staying on my face for awhile!

Being a mgr is hard. No academic all-conference honors (3.95gpa but mgrs don’t get honored) Not recognized as a state qualifier. ACL’s are dumb! Did therapy as soon as I got home. I’m committed to being on the basketball court sometime this season! God’s plan is greater than me!

Today I finally saw a light at the end of my physical therapy tunnel when I started at a new return to sport therapist. She told me it’s very possible I’ll see some playing time this season thanks to how hard I’ve been working and healing. You should have seen me smile 🏀😀

11 weeks post op and my surgeon told me my knees look great! I’ll be ready to defend my discus sectional title and he said when my college basketball team starts workouts this summer that I’ll be on the court with them! Best news!

My surgeon said I can run. I have no idea how it doesn’t hurt since my ACL is torn but getting on the treadmill today felt great! 4 1/2 weeks until surgery. My job is to get as strong as possible now so recovery can be easier and hopefully faster!!

So far this week I've had 6 basketball practices, 2 weight sessions, walked pigs everyday, attempted to learn a dance for my 4H Duchess contest, sewed a 4H outfit and canned my 4H jam. I guess this makes me well-rounded? Or a little crazy!

Three month follow up appointment today for my ACL. I am cleared to start jogging and doing lower body weight workouts! And my dr said in two months I’ll be able to start doing basketball drills! I’m so ready to be back 🙌🏼🏀

My first actual basketball workout with my trainer last night, four months after ACL surgery. I feel so much stronger this time than after my first ACL tear, both mentally and physically! I can’t wait for my next four years and to put on that 💚🤍 jersey!

Track season was so much fun this year as I worked to be a better shot and disc thrower. Sectional winner, Academic all-conference and highest points scored for the season on my team. That was a surprise!! I guess this long wingspan is good for rebounding and throwing!
