Coach Wooden was a mentor for me. He’d say, “it’s what you learn after you know it all, that counts”. The Wizard knew that to be a lifelong learner, you needed humility. Humility leads to being open minded & creates great listening skills. We need to talk less and listen more.

So important for players and coaches to cherish every moment during the journey. It’s not always the destination but the journey with those that you care about that is most precious. Eventually it comes to end, sometimes unexpectedly. What a blessing to be on the journey. 🎚️
One day, the games will end. - No more bus rides. - No more practices. - No more game days. But the memories will stay forever: - The teammates. - The laughter. - The moments that made it all worth it. Cherish every second.

Absolutely true that “confidence is everything in this game.” But don’t “think” you can, “thinking” you can is not as convincing as “knowing”. “Know” you can and then go out & do it. Additionally, it’s not always what you can do, it’s what you will do.
