Shane Steichen’s offense dropped 30 on a top 10 defense and won by multiple scores. Dude deserves COTY buzz.
Skip Bayless helped usher in the worst period of sports reporting in media that we have ever seen and we still deal with to this day.
Where you don’t have to know the sport, but can just yell loud and insult the athletes.
Good riddance.
Look…if you’re telling me how bad Anthony Richardson was and he ended up with almost 300 yards of offense and 3 TDs I’m extremely curious on what his good games will look like.
If I’m Steichen I’m sending this play and the headshot while he was going out of bounds to the league office first thing in the morning.
This being allowed is completely unacceptable for a league that “protects” its QBs.
This no call was still bullshit
Fuck those refs man, if that was Mahomes that would’ve been a 50 yard penalty, 1st down the next 3 drives, & a free play
Watching Foles writhing in pain with Thibodeaux making snow angels beside him and not seeing a single offensive lineman for the
#Colts
react…such an awful look for that group. There’s just not a care in the world there.
Crazy to think refs won’t be held responsible for completely altering the outcome of this game.
If I’m Shane Steichen I’m taking the fine and going off in the post game presser.

"I'm under contract here for four years. I put the pen to the paper, so that's where I'm at right now. I have an obligation to them, and an obligation to me, but things will happen naturally." - Jonathan Taylor in April.
He hired his new agent a few weeks later…and here we are.
I’ve been seeing the comment “Anthony Richardson couldn’t even beat Vanderbilt!” some so I figured I’d do something cool and chart the entire game. These are some points to provide context and I even went and made a cut up of every run/pass from Richardson which is posted below
Great quote from Anthony Richardson in today’s press meeting when asked about the pressure of suiting up in his first game this Sunday:
“Pressure is for the unprepared.”
Love it.

Imagine how different things look right now at 6-4 going into the bye with an easy remaining schedule if the Colts weren’t robbed by
@NFLOfficiating
against Cleveland.
JuJu Brents season debut was outstanding yesterday.
53 snaps
5 targets
3 receptions
18 total yards allowed
1 forced fumble
Sky is the limit for the rookie.
Turns out you can’t just plug a random QB into the 49ers offense and have success. Maybe it’s as simple as Brock Purdy playing really good football for them.
I feel like
#Colts
fans perceptions of drafting QBs has been extremely warped by the past.
The last 2 first round QBs selected by the organization were Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning.
That. Is. Not. Normal.
Going through more college All-22 of Anthony Richardson and from a QB perspective this is what it’s all about.
Pre-snap recognition, communication, putting your offense into the correct play and blocking assignments to be successful.
This is NOT something that 20 year old
Everyone talking about how Latu was forced to medically retire from football for a season and while he was "out injured" he went and played competitive Rugby for a year 😂
I hate the “Colts fans are spoiled bc Manning/Luck” BS.
This team hasn’t fielded a consistent winning roster in a decade. A DECADE!!
I had just graduated college the last time they won the AFC South. I’m a few years away from 40 now…😂😂😂
Kept Jeff Fisher for 15 years but fired Vrabel after 6 seasons with 3 playoff appearances (including AFC Championship appearance), a COTY award, and 2 division titles.
Amazing.
#Colts
Bernhard Raimann had a PFF pass blocking grade of 78.8 (high quality) with 0 sacks, 0 hurries, and only 1 pressure allowed on the night.
Held Micah Parsons to 1 pressure on the night and his 4th worse PFF pass rush grade of the entire season.
If this is the end I couldn’t think of a better person the
#Colts
could have in the QB room for a rookie than Jacoby. And with the way the locker room has disintegrated he’d be a welcome addition.
I asked
#Browns
QB Jacoby Brissett what he hopes to leave with the team if this is the end of his time in Cleveland.
He said he hopes he was a good teammate.
After his answer, D'Ernest Johnson yelled over to tell him "You're a great teammate bro."
The Colts will welcome their rookie class, including QB Anthony Richardson, to town on Thursday, followed by a three-day rookie minicamp Friday-Sunday.
Shane Steichen on AR's next few months: "We've got to get him in the playbook, learn the lingo, learn the terminology..."
The founder of the S2 test was on a PFF podcast and said the leaks from the scores are fake…so do with that info what you will
Surely teams aren’t leaking false information to get prospects to drop or rise…
The Texans had 0 answers for Anthony Richardson running the football in their first meeting. Watching Lamar run all over them gives me hope for the future of the Colts divisional hopes.
Raheem Morris is extremely impressive. Makes no excuses and holds himself accountable. I was told this was one of the things that impressed Chris Ballard the most in their interview.
Full interview with
@thepivot
down below. Great stuff.
If your entire philosophy is to invest this much in the trenches and you let a team run for 215 yards on you while you can't get the run game going on offense its really not a good look.
Just physically dominated in the trenches today.
Anthony Richardson hasn’t missed a pass in 3 different 11-11 practices and idk whether to be excited about him or scared bc everyone with 2 eyes can see the secondary is buns 😂
This is why you don’t listen to bait accounts like this who don’t know football.
This is ACTUALLY a positive for Chris Ballard. When the roster is stronger it’s harder for late round guys to break through and make the 53.
You can criticize him but just make sure it’s warranted
🚨 HISTORICALLY BAD: The
#Colts
have RELEASED three of their 2024 draft picks—their 5th, 6th, and 7th round selections.
JUST 4 months after drafting them in April.
😳
This is a terrible look for GM Chris Ballard.
@MisterWest77
@Landon3MR
Dulin was a defensive miscommunication. Levis could do that rushing TD too. And the second Pierce throw was absolutely a prayer ball.
Here my biggest issue with people want the
#Colts
to draft the “safe” prospect at QB and not shoot for upside:
Joe Burrow
Patrick Mahomes
Josh Allen
Lamar Jackson
Justin Herbert
There is a good chance you have to go through at least 2 or 3 of these guys in the playoffs for the
I’ll say this:
If Indy has a deal in place to acquire Sneed and the only thing that prevents him from being a Colt is haggling about contract negotiations and money…that’s a BAD look for Chris Ballard.
The positive side of things is your QB has the ability to put your offense on his back while he continues to develop and that will keep you in almost every single game.
Richardson looks like the real deal.
#Colts
blocking grades from yesterday against the Jaguars per
@PFF
Bernhard Raimann - 71.5
Quenton Nelson - 70.9
Ryan Kelly - 70.6
Will Fries - 55.4
Braden Smith - 70.4
Colts have the better roster.
Texans have the QB advantage.
None of that matters tonight. It comes down to who wants it more. Shane preaches preparation and intensity. And if I trust anybody, I trust Shane Steichen.
Let’s go get this W,
@Colts
!!
#Colts
center Ryan Kelly and his wife announced on instagram they will be having twin boys. Absolutely amazing news given what they’ve been through. Congrats to the two of them.
#Colts
GM Chris Ballard on why the team hasn’t signed a veteran S or CB (
@KBowen1070
said “veteran” initially but I think CB thought he said “better.”)
“The word ‘better,’ that’s subjective. … We definitely could (sign someone), but I want to see these young guys get after it.”
Almost like this is what people who actually have a pulse on the situation have been saying.
Also…I’d like to once again say they DO want to pay him. Just after they find out how he rebounds from the injuries and fits in the new offense with Richardson.
#Colts
UDFA signings so far:
Alabama OG/C Emil Ekiyor Jr.
Virginia State RB Darius Hagans
Holy Cross LB Liam Anderson
Former Houston LB Donavan Mutin
Wyoming RB Titus Swen
Former Kansas DT Caleb Sampson
Houston LB Donavan Mutin
BYU OL Harris Lachance
Maine WR Zavier Scott
I think Bryce Young would be a fantastic addition to the
#Colts
.
I think CJ Stroud would be a fantastic addition to the
#Colts
.
I think Will Levis would be a fantastic addition to the
#Colts

I think Anthony Richardson would be a fantastic addition to the

I’ll reiterate once again how happy I am that Andrew Luck found himself, his family, and his happiness. He gave so much of himself to the game of football it nearly cost him everything.
I’ll forever be grateful for the sacrifices he made to provide simple entertainment for fans.
