@ArleneDickinson Review, and would have easily cost 20-30k. In September and October we are headed for 6 days of hearings. So last week, he realized the hearing is double booked with other (paid) work. I thought crap I’m on my own. Nope, he rescheduled paid work to help me and my son.

@ArleneDickinson I sued the School Board at the Human Rights Tribunal because they withdrew services from my son who has autism. My friend and colleague who is a paralegal has devoted weeks to help me and refused payment. So far, we have filed the original application, an appeal, a judicial.

@SinaiLawFirm This happened to me when putting in an offer on a place when renting. 6 month BRA with an agent I contacted through Facebook marketplace. Docusign the problem. It jumps through the document before you can read it, especially on smart phone with small type.

@DrJenGunter "When I’m sometimes asked when will there be enough women on the supreme court? And I say ‘When there are nine.’ People are shocked. But there’d been nine men, and nobody’s ever raised a question about that. Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

@kellyma_michael Yes, an illegal one. I don't manage or rent any of these places. Here's why. God forbid there is a fire, or the city gets notified, which often happens. The property manager gets sued, cited for Fire Offenses etc. For what $200 per month of pure hassle ? . Not today Satan.

@fordnation I really like how you managed to cancel my son's special needs assistant at his school, him and 4 other kids with autism. Good work there, in exchange taxpayers get a OHRT lawsuit that has already cost more than the SNA. Good Work also #BuckABeer.

I'm really pissed, today I saw a tweet that stated that non-payment of rent accounted for 5% of all evictions. What? . In my entire career non-payment of rent is the #1 reason for eviction. This complete piece of garbage research published by University of British Columbia. .

@jasonpereira Any practice that abuses the consumer does not serve the industry. Realtors have long benefited from lack of transparency and asymmetry of information. I myself did an internship with a realtor years ago, and the dishonesty was staggering.

I have an urgent message for @fordnation and @MacLeodLisa. Can twitter help it get to them via retweets? They need to know that cutting costs by not rehiring Special Needs Assistants for kids with Special Needs really isn't acceptable.

@d_demelis The Police isn't trying to find it. It's in a shipping container headed overseas. No one cares. Best bet is to put a secondary GPS on the car, even when you know exactly where it is, the cops won't investigate. They'll tell you to call CBSA, and no one answers the phone. Fact.

Benefits of working from the office. - Get out see the world and sunshine.- Get to see other people.- Get dressed.- Activity.- Not getting stuck in a rut.- Not becoming a Karen.- Not shrinking your world/acquaintances.

@GoracleOfDelphi Sounds like he and my dad were in the same club. Everyday after school we would help out whatever dad was doing. Rebuilding engines, welding buckets on loaders, running heavy equipment. Led to some adventures such as taking a canoe to see where the river went.

In 2008 and with Home Capital Group 2019, there was opportunity to reset home prices and teach people that real estate doesn't always go up. BOC did everything to prevent market adjustment. Now we're at the top of a cliff with a long way down. How many tools are left?.
Now that the aggravated costs of excessive household borrowing are playing out, I sincerely hope we can work together with the reale estate industry to help protect first time homebuyers from the peril of too much debt.

@ScottTerrioHMA @daniel_foch Most courts are slow, but in most cases you're trying to get money back for a singular event. For non-payment of rent, it's like the tenant is robbing you and the police is forcing you to keep him in your store for a year, robbing you some more.

@KoolMoeSteve @erika_szostak I think arming and putting a gun in every classroom would result in more death due to error than are saved. Kids and guns don’t mix. Inattention, error, theft & mistakes are problems which is why the military keeps its weapons locked up when not in use.

@CricketsMatter It wasn't just big pharma, it was everyone. He built his house and most of his trades ended up paying him to work on his house. I'm 100% it's someone he sued at some point, who didn't enjoy paying 100K in legal fees to lose to M Sherman.

@StephenPunwasi Speaking about this, 3 audits this year, so far. CRA also decided to remarry me to my ex, and claw back all the child tax benefits they paid since 2019-2020 when we separated. They also undisabled my son, who has autism and stopped paying the extra $200 disabled child bonus.

@kellyma_michael Then the owner always blames you, the property manager, for not "doing things properly" because PM's have magical powers of controlling tenants. They never pay your legal fees. I told the guy to sell before the shit hits the fan, because it will. He hung up on me.

@RE_MarketWatch The entire government should apologize for putting housing in the GDP. Buying and selling bigger and bigger houses to each other is not productive use of resources.

@StephenPunwasi They don't want to outlaw speculation, they just want a piece of the pie. They don't want prices to go down, they want more development fees, land transfer tax, higher property tax. There is no profit in low income housing which is why despite all the talk there is no action.

@DrJenGunter Something about me sets off sociopaths, I've been sued twice by men trying to shut me up, they both lost. One Ponzi scheme sued me for defamation. All this has given me the skills to sue the school for discriminating against my son who has autism. They're going to lose.

Is this for the City of Toronto or the entire country? lol. P.S. I have a teaspoon you can use to empty the ocean.
The Rapid Housing Initiative was created during the pandemic to help house the most vulnerable. Today PM @JustinTrudeau & I announced how the #RHI will surpass its target and create over 10,000 new homes for those in need. Details ⬇️. 📸 @CPAC_TV

You’re a moron, there’s less than 200 N13 evictions per year in Ontario. Why don’t you focus on non payment of rent which has 50,000 plus evictions? . Plus N-13 evictions have to let the tenant back in paying the same rent. How about focusing on an actual problem.
It's time to do things differently. Banning renovictions will: . Stop Corporate Landlords from kicking Canadians out of their homes. Put people before profit. Ensure more Canadians have a place to call home.

@d_demelis When I started in property management it was mostly tradesmen who had picked up a house no one wanted and fixed it up for renters very low standard with the view of pottering around in their retirement and having a pension and something to do.

@MarkBrower14 I could go all day with these stories, I'm 100% sure I could house all the homeless in all the basement apartments that are empty. Of course they're "illegal" apartments not approved by the city so that works out, apparently they are more unsafe than a sleeping bag and tent.

@StephenPunwasi Housing is a status symbol, we are building the wrong type of house. We don't need more Lambos, we need more Toyota Corollas. We have no other economy other than selling bigger and better real estate to ourselves so the government's response is to tax the "profits".

@JimChuong I hate condos so much. The neighbors are nosy old ladies who do not work. You can't even put out a floor mat or wreath in the hall. The security guards are all failed police officers trying to catch you breaking rules. The neighbor on the other side of the old lady smokes weed.

No one could have predicted that using your condo like a hotel could lead to issues. Especially if you don’t have staff and security like hotels do.
Toronto-based "Chair girl" was partying in an Airbnb condo owned by a host w 3 listings. Feel-good Airbnb commercials of a host renting out a part of their home to smiling foreign travelers to make ends meet just got thrown off the balcony. #HousingCrisis

@JohnPasalis You’re missing inputs. How many more billions in Mortgage Backed Securities will Bank of Canada buy from the fully secured banks?. How much longer will mortgage deferral continue?. How much $$$ to be poured into the economy?. Shall we “save” Airbnb hosts?. Pay all rent arrears?.

@ronmortgageguy @JohnPasalis We need an economy that doesn’t rely on selling higher and higher priced homes to each other. This feels like the collapse of the Roman Empire. For 5 Woodbridge homes we could probably give a Reserve clean water, but the misallocation of resources and energy is the problem.

@dima_nomad @BenRabidoux It's about the breaking of the social contract. that pisses people off. If you come here and drive lambos and buy 2.5 million dollar houses and declare a world income of $97.11, go fuck yourself. And these bullshit cases cost a fortune to go through the courts. What is that?.

@ArleneDickinson At my grocery store, bank, building supply store… do you want to donate $2 to children, hospital etc. No I do not want to, I want you to. I do not care to see “corporate entity” in the news presenting $150k check of their customer’s $2 donations.

@therealhebrahim Sell the condo with the tenants in it. If they block showings, evict. If the property is damaged charge them for the damages. If they don't pay their rent in full and on time, continual late payments.

Oh great, I hope all the evil wildlife feeders go to jail and rot there. Micromanaging ninnies. What the hell are you going to do about it ? We can’t even keep the murderers off the TTC.
It’s now illegal in Toronto to feed the pigeons or ducks in High Park or offer peanuts to the squirrels on your back deck. Though initially, the city wants to educate people about the dangers, ultimately, feeding wildlife could result in fines.

@JohnPasalis So much of this. part of the reason that our condos are so poorly designed is because of the investors effect. Condos are simply not marketed to end users, just as investments. For example. if they were marketing to end users they would talk about living rooms & amenities.
