Honestly if it's an RNG drop then i agree. I'd like to have some system that allows you to get the exotic if you've been unlucky. But unless they vault GoS, i think the Div quest is one of the coolest things they added and you shouldn't be able to just buy it.

Bungie didn't say anything about a Div nerf. Dif wasn't nerfed. You wouldn't notice if it gets nerfed. All Salt did was give constructive criticism and ideas about how to balance and improve the weapon to make playstyles more diverse. How is that crying?
