Jamaican Tax Payers are paying the salaries of all public sector personnel. Therefore the Jamaican Government need to publish all the salaries and grades. There should be no secrets or hidden numbers. Every Public Sector Employee salary needs to be public information.

As long as foreigners are willing to pay cash for these properties and rent them back to the locals, this practice will continue. They need to ban foreigners from purchasing land. They can lease it, but no outright purchase. Controversial, but seems like the way to go.

Had the government given the teachers their regular salaries for March with the adjustments to come in April, they would have complained. They knew that signing on the wire would cause problems because they are of the same caliber. Govt is in a "no win" situation here.

I heard that the US program that sponsored migrating teachers lost their funding. Hence some teachers who migrated will have to leave. If that is true, Jamaica will have an abundance of teachers come September. Please welcome them back. Thank you.

Here: The Interest keeps adding up. You can't renew your registration, insurance canceled. When you are caught, it's more fines+automatic suspension+vehicle impounded. Once you clear all of that, you are now in the high risk insurance pool for 3 years. Very expensive.

Jamaica is pushing for "Cashless" transactions in light of the recent bank delivery roberies. The outstanding issue is still how will the banks help to facilitate this move? So far the bank treat fraudlent victims like fraudsters themselves. This doesn't give us confidence.
