Mayor Lucas has been clear that the Royals' plans shouldn't disrupt Oak Street. The team's initial renderings had their ballpark district closing the road in the Crossroads. John Sherman announced today that they plan to change the design to keep Oak Street open.

What if Royals ownership where transparent, open to ideas, honest, and willing to be a community participant in downtown KC instead of pulling this crap. Is the goal to put the stadium where everyone hates it the least? You could make transformative change in the east village.

The Chiefs and Royals have indeed announced a completed CBA for their stadium proposals, though the announcement came without a copy of the agreement.
