This event was put on by parents who lost their children in the Parkland HS mass shooting. They told this idiot that this was a dress rehearsal for a graduation speech. They filmed it and made a anti gun commercial out of it. Brilliant.
@Victorshi2020
Question for all the Trump supporters. How many times has Bragg brought these same charges against others the last 14 months? 117 times. It isn't personal. It's the law. Grow up.
@pgsween
Bringing back Mike Pennel was an under the radar move that paid off against Miami last week. He is a run stuffer. Played more snaps than I realized last week and was instrumental in slowing Miami's running game.
Hey Royals! Ditch the firm telling you The K can't be saved. They told the city of Boston the same thing about Fenway. Boston told them to fuck off and found a firm that could do it. If you can renovate Arrowhead, you can do the same at The K, and we'll gladly help pay for it!
My daughter and I spent Saturday afternoon in the Crossroads Arts District. We had lunch, did some shopping and had a glass of wine at The Pairing. Every single business had a Vote No poster in their windows. Just in case you want to know what the business owners think.
Do you enjoy First Fridays in the Crossroads in the summer? Enjoy catching a show at RecordBar? Enjoy having a glass of wine and picking up something to go at the same time at The Pairing? All will be destroyed if the stadium is put where the Royals want it.
The city of Kansas City is back on its bullshit, so I guess so am I. A stadium in the Crossroads should not be an option. We overwhelmingly voted that down based mainly on the location. Leave that neighborhood alone!
@QuintonLucasKC
The Royals can have their downtown stadium. Just a few blocks away from this planned site. By putting it in the East Village they can actually lift up a depressed neighborhood and create something of value. The Crossroads doesn't need it. Won't benefit from it.
The simple fact is this. This is nothing more than attempted hostile takeover of a vibrant, homegrown community by billionaires. One who bought the Star property and needs to unload it and the other, the Royals owner in cahoots with the city to prop up the failing P&L. Vote No!
@MuellerSheWrote
Although I think the Dems will win the midterms going away, I think that Republicans are going to make it extremely messy by challenging every loss they take in any court that will hear them. This is the new reality. The right will never take a loss without contention again.
@MeidasTouch
When he points out that the highest percentage of folks in the hospital with covid are unvaccinated they shout WRONG! That's Facebook. Literally. They think it's all a scam because of Facebook.
@JoJoFromJerz
We have had a Christo Facist republican super majority in our our state for 2 decades. Because KC and St. Louis aren't big enough to out number the rubes in the rest of the state. So...this is the shit we get instead of meaningful legislation. It fucking sucks!
@Amy_Siskind
Yes. Maxwell deserves what is coming to her prison wise but it's ironic that a woman is going to be the one to take the fall for the disgusting crimes of countless men.
@SamMcDowell11
No!! This is the worst possible site, destroying everything that makes the Crossroads great. Dozens of locally owned, successful businesses will be ruined. This cannot be allowed to happen!
@JasonKander
@emzorbit
They evacuated over 100,000 people in the span of 3 weeks at best. In an active war zone. It's incredible. A testament to the ability of our military to do good and not just blow shit up with superior fire power. Bless everyone involved in this humanitarian mission.
I have a suggestion for all the folks who come at me every time I say putting a baseball stadium in the Crossroads is a bad idea. Go down there and have a beer and actually talk to the folks who own places there. They are on site for the most part. Try listening to them.
@pattonoswalt
@NetflixIsAJoke
Hey Patton! While watching the special last night I considered that as a 54 yr old fan who has been with you since the mid 90's, you've been making me laugh over half my life. Thanks for that! Your voice is a comfort in these wild times.
@madrid_mike
It's hard to cheer for the dude. His actions and decisions in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 were disasters for the country. Whether he believed he was right or not doesn't really matter now. It is what it is. But Trump has got to be stopped so the enemy of my enemy.......
Vote No!! This project will destroy the Crossroads Art District that has been built steadily over the last 20 yrs by local artists and small business owners. A unique and vibrant neighborhood will be bulldozed for a billionaire land grab.
Not only will our tax dollars fund this project but the tax free land-grab means around a half million $$ taken out of our schools annually - that's just what KC needs! East Village is already not providing tax revenue. Move 5 blocks north - provide a benefit for Kansas City.
@AngelaBelcamino
@sarahcpr
I'm so torn. Would be the best VP candidate but I would also love to see her as the AG to fix all the destruction Barr has wrought.
@royalsreview
Go ahead and lose it then. I love this team but I won't stop fighting for the small business owners in the Crossroads who are getting fucked over. Put the stadium in the East Village like originally planned and I and others will shut up.
@kathleen_belew
I'm 55, but because I spend a lot of time listening to live music in Kansas City, I spend more time than usual with folks in their 20's. I find them engaged, intelligent, compassionate, funny and worldly beyond their yrs. A pleasure to be around.
@CyrusMMcQueen
Our dog sits in the living room and stares down the hall. Creepy enough, but it's the fact that he will be playing or something and then suddenly do this, like something has caught his attention
@v_knipe
So happy for you both. My sister was born with cerebral palsy in 1964. Doctors advised she be institutionalized as they didn't think she would live more than a few weeks or months. Mom disagreed and guided her thru 34 amazing yrs of life.
@StrangerInASt11
@hwinkler4real
The "gay" thing wouldn't even move the needle. It's foreign campaign contributions in the millions of dollars range. Lindsey isn't the only one either.
@SykesCharlie
Somebody needs to ask her what she thinks of Project 2025. Because it's not only meant to be installed under Trump. It will be the blueprint for any Republican administration. Does she agree with the platform if it doesn't involve Trump?
@PattyArquette
@MeidasTouch
And even though she has filed charges and lawsuits anonymously numerous times, somehow the right people know who she is and she is threatened and harassed into dropping it. That is no coincidence.
@QuintonLucasKC
@QuintonLucasKC
we need a vaccine passport in KC. Irresponsible, selfish people should not be able to ruin the city for those of us who did the right thing for our community and got vaccinated.
@QuintonLucasKC
Wow. He's got jokes. While the lively hoods of dozens of Crossroads business owners have been blindsided and ambushed by monied interests striding over them like they don't matter. In his eyes, I guess they don't. Bravo. 👏
@RoyalsDaily_
@Chiefs
So Arrowhead can be upgraded but not The K? This whole thing is bullshit. Places like Fenway and Wrigley are over a 100 yrs old. This is all a land grab, real estate deal by Royals ownership. Vote No April 2nd and save the Crossroads!
@davidhogg111
I'm 53 man. Thank you for leading the youth of this generation toward a voting booth. My generation was too sluggish to get things done. I've done what I can but I have really high hopes for you and your age group to swing the pendulum the right way!
@MarkAGunnels
Come at the voters with a half-assed plan and some renderings and threats of leaving, and that's what you get. It's a lot of money, and bad location for the downtown stadium. They tried to run over small business in a tight neighborhood. Transparency, better location=win.
@chrislhayes
Beyond noting that he had an accident and is recovering from surgery, why is your network covering this story on the first day of hearings regarding the events of 1/6?
@pattonoswalt
He may as well have a binky in his mouth. "I don't want to say the election is over." If he admits that the donations dry up quick. What an itty bitty titty baby. So scared of losing those donations.
@QuintonLucasKC
It's all well and good except for trying to jam a stadium into the Crossroads. Worst idea ever. Put it in the East Village where it belongs and can actually lift up an impoverished neighborhood. I'm very disappointed you are going along with the current plan.
@kent_swanson
I think being more physical is something that has happened with the Chiefs down the stretch. Time to break the streak and beat the Bengals!
@JRoseThinks
How so? All the businesses I mentioned and dozens more will be at the very least displaced and at most completely gone if this plan is approved. 20 yrs of homegrown investment in the neighborhood will be replaced with corporate chains. Put it in the East Village.
@lizrward74
@JoJoFromJerz
His belief system is antithetical to everything Biden and dems stand for. I'm sure it does pain him to aid them. But he believes the law is the law.
@chrislhayes
The EC has to go. One person. One vote. The popular vote takes every other election. From school board to Senator. The presidency should be no different.
@JYSexton
Trump is laying the groundwork for claiming fraud again when he loses. Constantly telling his followers he is up big in the polls is grooming them to not accept and even more lopsided loss this time.
@AngelaBelcamino
Most of my Twitter feed is set up to be political because I save Facebook for tracking local bands and hanging out with my friends. You are one of my favorite Twitter follows because you are a real person. Merry Xmas and happy new year too you. You rock babe!
@KC_Sass
It seems like the only occasions I have for a suit are weddings and funerals, so I wear one to a show every once in a while. Always feels good. Awesome dress! You look great!
@blainewheeler21
@QuintonLucasKC
That is funny. But my issue with the location simply comes down to loving the neighborhood as it is and knowing the owners of so many successful businesses there. RecordBar, The Pairing, The Brick, Arizona Trading Co, Chartreuse Saloon, Parlor. Real people get hurt in this deal.
@piper4missouri
I live in Kansas City. My adopted home town of 23 yrs. So I'm a bit insulated from the bs that goes on in the rest of the state. We have a wonderful, progressive, mature and caring mayor. Let me know what I can do to help your campaign. We need help in the rural part of the state
@Ms_Anthrope13
I'm a huge sports fan. When I moved here 26 yrs ago, being where my teams played was exciting and still is. This is a bad plan and there is plenty of time to come up with another one.
Okay so what exactly do voters know on *this side* of April 2?
- no clear ask from city or state
- no lease guaranteeing teams stay for duration of tax
- no enforceable CBA
- no signed commitment to KCPS
- don't even know which businesses will be displaced
@JoJoFromJerz
So much worse. And I was in a dark place thinking about how bad it was going to be back in '16. I lacked the imagination to concoct this series of events in my mind.
@scribblymoth
Yep. You can put me in that category. Come at us with a real plan in a location that makes sense and doesn't destroy a homegrown neighborhood like the Crossroads and I'll vote yes.
@BCross052422
It is terrible that you folks are having to endure this in the name of your children. I respect and applaud your efforts. The scorge of gun violence has destroyed too many families in this country.
@20th_Centurygal
For me, it's neck and neck between Cheap Trick and Van Halen. Cheap Trick are still on the road and have released 4 new albums in the last 6 yrs or so. Gives them the edge.
@LanceTHESPOKEN
I believe he is Andy's heir apparent. He has a fantastic relationship with Patrick. Hope he sticks around and takes over eventually. He would be a fool not to.
@Chiefs
And thanks to the Liar in Chief not doing his job and and getting us out of this pandemic, only 17,000 get the honor of sitting in it and watching our first SB banner in 50 yrs get raised. Such a shame this team won't have rocking full stadium all yr.
I'm sorry.
I said that Matt Gaetz couldn't get any worse than 7 DUI's, sleeping w/ interns for points, being the sole NO vote on a human sex trafficking bill and threatening a witness but clearly I was wrong..
@afentra
@Chiefs
@brittanylynne8
A friend had an idea about rebranding the name to honor fire chiefs. Same colors, same name. Drop the arrowhead on the helmet. Ring the giant fire bell instead of banging a war drum. Arrowhead becomes The Firehouse. Not a bad idea.
@codybtapp
My bet is that they take a minute and actually come up with a plan and location that makes sense and we are voting on it again next yr. If they had stuck to their initial plan in the East Village and started the campaign 9 months ago with transparency, I'd have voted yes.
@piper4missouri
Yep. I was devouring Stephen King novels by the age of 12 and honestly my mother who lived to read just encouraged it. And I'm glad. I pretty much owe my current vocabulary to those books.
@thekyliewinfrey
I don't feel fooled. I was concerned something bad had happened to the guy like everyone else. Turns out he was the bad thing happening to other people. Proud of this fan base for its concern until it was warranted anymore. And now back to the chase for the
#1
seed!
@SteveScalise
@realDonaldTrump
I voted to help the left take control of the House for the express purpose of seeing someone hold Trump accountable. His impeachment is the will of the American people, not some far left agenda.
@TimothyR_wx
The Pairing is directly across Oak from the Star building. In the footprint of the stadium. Grinders and Arizona Trading Co are south of it but will experience catastrophic rent hikes that will drive them out. So they are directly affected.
@TropicaliJaye
Knowing that you never expected to win the presidency, only to advance your brand, has it been excruciatingly terrifying to hold the office? I mean, I hope so. I just want to hear it from you.
