@wachiraPI @Kalasinga_ The one thing I never quite mastered when I was learning how to drive, despite kuambiwa this over and over again. The day for my driving test, I actually prayed that the instructor would not test me on hill-start because wueh!š°

@shikumungai_ @Gachina_mac @clarabazel254 Then in that case what you probably meant is that the incidence (not prevalence) is going down.

An understanding of Epidemiology and health statistics gives important framing and context to data.
Itās great to see HIV prevalence in Luo Nyanza going down, but itās important to understand the difference between older stats and the latest research to avoid confusion. The previous data, which showed higher rates, was collected over several years and through thorough studies. The recent numbers could be showing the positive effects of targeted interventions (remember voluntary male circumcision), better treatment, new testing methods, and increased awareness, all of which might have likely helped reduce transmission. But that doesnāt mean the old data was wrong. Rather, the past data should complement the new findings, helping us understand the progress made and areas that still require attention.

@koecharlesk @Disembe Thatās not how health financing works. And Iām pretty sure thatās not how being sick works. Shall we just leave health economics and general clinical physiology to experts please? š

@koecharlesk @Disembe A ālevy on foodā?! Food? Why on earth in a food insecure country would you tax food? Iām pretty sure thatās not how Pareto principles are meant to be applied, particularly when it comes to health system financing.

My Aunt tells me that in the 80s Nairobi had health visitors who would visit new Mums at home. Letās share feedback on this so that community cadres (CHWs and CHPs) can be a cadre that covers both urban and rural home visits. They are an invaluable resource.

The place of Parks. We need to have more small parks. The ideal is to have a green park within 3 minutes walking distance of every home. #SmallParks
