Glad to see someone saying this. Trump is doing mostly good things but this is all built on sand. 2028 could easily undo all of this.
I hope you all realize that for any of this stuff to stick, you have to hold your nose and vote for whoever Trump endorses for 2028. Because if literally anyone from the old regime gets in, the vengeance against you will be biblical. This is where you are now No turning back.

The information we had at the time was less robust. What we now call woke hadn't really shown its head before then. In 2013 you had to be pretty fringe to oppose things like feminism or social causes. No one was in a position to know what was going on at this level. For many of us, we *wanted* it to be apolitical. We just wanted to be left alone so we could game in peace and not be called shitlords for enjoying it. We just wanted the games we loved evaluated on their own merits and not some bad faith interpretation. We wanted, cliche as it sounds, ethics in gaming journalism. These are all things that are on principle apolitical. But we just didn't know what was going on or what was to come later. With that knowledge, it was a political game we had no idea we were part of.

@TheQuartering Over 10 years out for me and in the last year I had one of those instinctual "oh I'll ask Dad" moments. They get much rarer, but never fully disappear.
