Not quite. They took the money given to them by the Federal Government and they used it to pay people who decided to go after Gamergate. Unless there's an email that says "Here's your check, show those goobergrapers who's boss," there's no direct line. The truth is bad enough without the embellishment.

I wonder what Jesus would make of Muslim rape gangs operating with impunity in England, think he'd have a couple of objections? How about the actions of the Israeli army in the Gaza strip? How about the church embracing LGBT lifestyles and the existence of recreational marijuana?
I was hungry, but you took free lunch out of schools. I was thirsty, but you cut humanitarian aid funding for clean water. I was a stranger, but you sent ICE agents into my church to arrest me. I was sick, but you took away my healthcare coverage. I was in prison, but you left me there because you profited off of it. Whatever you did to the least of these, my siblings, you did to me. @KhaliJabari Granted, I just don't see how buying influence with domestic news orgs and news NGOs increases our standing internationally. It looks more like trying to influence news coverage to misinform Americans rather than foster good will.

The key, as extended family, is to present an alternative vibe but maintaining the status quo. Being the fun uncle doesn't mean you buy the kid a pack of Kools and a sixer, you just let them be a little more like themselves. Give them room to run, but remind them where the fence is.
