God is gracious! My son (almost 19 yrs), Xavier, got his foot smashed by a roof bolter (35,000lb machine) in the coal mines this morning. It ruined his steel toed boots~but he only ended up w/two fractured toes and stitches!! It could have smashed his foot to pieces! Praise God!

An unpopular opinion (even among people I love on here): I enjoy taking care of my husband & serving him. I don't cut up his meat or anything ridiculous. But I make his coffee & pack his lunch and make his meals. I do all the housework. He doesn't do dishes or any house chores...

My grandson is HERE!!! My daughter went into labor ...a lot of back labor yesterday & he was born at 6am this morning! August Wayne is 7lbs 15 oz and just wonderful! My daughter worked SUPER hard and she did a GREAT job!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I'll be honest...for those women who are homemakers and expect their husband to come home and help with household chores...I think it is wrong. I have been homeschooling for 14+ years now and I can keep up with that, my housework and still have time left over.

He doesn't run the vacuum or wash the laundry. I do ALL of that. BUT...he works all day long...also gets called out anytime in the night to work. He fills our wood shed every fall and takes care of our outdoor wood stove through the cold winter months to keep us warm...

Homeschool evaluations today! Which means we'll be graduating our second child! Such a terribly bittersweet day! Now I will only have one who is still schooling at home. Mamas....Lord willing, have big ol' families! My hubby & I regret stopping with 3 children. ❤️

26 years ago today I was in a serious car accident. I was in a coma for a week, had my left arm rebuilt with plates and screws, had some brain injury & one of my lungs had collapsed. I am so, so thankful the Lord chose to spare my life. He gave me the chance to have my husband...

My dad is having one of his kidneys removed today as it was just not functioning at all. If you see this and can just ask the Lord for things to go well, according to His will, I'd appreciate it. I'm confident and not worried though! God is so good.

She's HERE!!! My first granddaughter (and 2nd grandbaby) was born in the early hours this morning! It was a bit scary as baby Juniper wasn't breathing when she was born & heart rate was down due to the cord being wrapped around her neck twice. But praise God...ALL IS WELL!

OK...embarrassing but true. On the right was my heaviest after having three children, not exercising & letting food become an idol. On the left...is now. 70+ lbs down, spin instructor, fitness enthusiast and repenting of my food idols. SDG!!! (Gluttony is a sin folks. Repent.)

So....my husband and I are going to be grandparents! This wasn't the way we wanted it to happen....but this baby coming is a blessing and we rejoice in it. It's so strange to feel such disappointment and sadness while such joy and excitement all at the same time.

So we watched "God's Not Dead" last night for the first time. Oh my, it was awful. Theologically awful and just *not* Christ exalting at all! I actually felt almost depressed at the end. It was so about people "choosing" Him...rather than them exalting Him as Lord & Savior!

So, I think it's now ok for me to announce~ my daughter & her husband are expecting baby number two! Yes~the new baby & my grandson August will probably only be about 15 months apart...so it will be busy but oh my, I'm elated! ❤️❤️❤️ Grandbabies are the BEST!

I make his coffee in the morning too. It's called...LOVE. And service. He would do it himself....but I do it to show him I love him. And he goes out in the freezing winter to load the wood stove each morning and night so I don't have to. To care for me and show me love.

4/ Plus, if your children are young....who is raising them? If most of their waking hours are spent at daycare or a babysitter...it isn't you raising them during the 3 or 4 hours when you feed them dinner, bathe them and put them to bed all to do it again the next day.

Full stop. My first pregnancy was an ectopic. The baby was growing in my fallopian tube. I was doubled over in pain for weeks & as the baby grew, it was about ready to burst my tube. I had to have emergency surgery. That is NOT murdering my child. So...just don't.

My husband sees me as an equal (not sure where you took away that he doesn't). He treasures me...as I do him. He works hard doing tasks to make my life easier and I do the same for him. Biblically...men are the providers, women are the helpers/homekeepers.

My daughter asked if I could come over & help her some today (she has a 4 day old baby & a 14 mo. old son)...I was like "absolutely!" Spent the morning at her house...then took my grandson grocery shopping to give her rest. Stacking wood this afternoon. 100% Productive day!

My dad is in the hospital, my daughter is getting married tomorrow after church, my son's graduation ceremony is next weekend, then throwing his graduation party a couple weeks after that...then my grandson will be arriving in July. I think I'm taking a nap the month of August.

It frustrates me when a local high school teacher works out at the Y in her sports bra. There are teen boys that GO to the school she teaches at there at the same time! There is ZERO reason for ANY woman to just wear a sports bra to workout. Put on a SHIRT!!!

My boys (17 yr& 15 yr) combined their money to buy me an iphone8 for Christmas. I had an old android. They spent their money on me & I am so humbled and almost embarrassed that they would do something so generous for me. I want them to save their money...not spend it on me. 😭❤️

We are now empty nesters. Our youngest son is graduating (homeschool) & is moving in with his brother in an apartment across town. He said it will force him to start to grow up & mature. I get it but my mama-heart is extremely sad. I am 42 yrs & all my babies have left the nest.

My son, Xavier, has started his mining job. The pay is FANTASTIC but seeing his exhaustion, knee pain (they have to crawl in the tunnels), back pain and how filthy he is after his day ~ breaks this mama's heart. I KNOW I have to let him be a man. But it's so difficult!
