Senator John Kennedy wants people on Medicaid to "get off your ass" and get jobs. Some of the most common disabilities among Medicaid recipients are: Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injuries. Last time I checked, MAGA was screeching about federal initiatives to give people with these conditions jobs.

The most offensive part about this comment is a sitting US Senator tasked with approving or cutting Federal funding to the poor isn't aware that over 90% of people under retirement age on Medicaid do in fact work. Why do we elect people to office that can't learn the basics about the bills and programs they're voting on? This shit is a google search away! There's literally no excuse for being this misinformed as a US Senator.
