Another big skip of what looks like unused hospital equipment
rumoured 2 b what wasn’t used in Nightingale Hospital-
if true-a shocking waste of useable equipment & money!
Why not use it? Doesn’t seem faulty?
Who has pocketed the money from contract?
In a corner of our garden- husband constructed a frame around an old stain glass window I found, - he built the bench too. It feels like a magical corner with the fairy lights. 🧚♀️
@MForstater
As a heterosexual woman, I look at these flags and signs and I think of inclusivity and that all are welcomed. Certainly am not made to a second class citizen. 🏳️🌈
Yesterday I posted a corner of our garden with a stained glass window which my husband had framed & a bench he’d made. Lots of lovely feedback from people- so thought I’d post couple more photos of other areas of garden. He built a pond coming up out of our decking & a pergola.

Reporters focusing on all adults getting one dose of vaccine by September or the top 4 priority groups for deaths receiving one dose by March-this doesn’t mean all back to normal at end of March.
Must remember that TWO doses are needed for someone to be fully vaccinated

Worked in NHS for > 25 years & there is nothing that I have seen since 2010 that would enable me to agree with your view that your Party are helpful in any way to our NHS.

So since I’ve been poorly I’ve been watching more tv. Absolutely enjoying

I didn’t see your tweet unfortunately. There are some unpleasant people on Twitter- but also a lot of us who are happy for others when they post lovely things. Don’t let the nasty lot get you down!

Seeing tweets from people being really vile towards NHS workers-saying are lying, Covid a hoax, that not doing anything in General Practice or in hospital-other than tik toc videos. They all seem anti mask, anti vaccine & anti science & lots of talk about conspiracies. Dreadful!
@JamesMc50301897
I am so sorry that your brother died yesterday from Covid.
Thank you for this thread - your brother and all who’ve died or continue with morbidity should not be forgotten or thought of as simply a statistic.
Today was aghast (& disappointed/irritated ) that 2 people in Haematology oncology waiting room with no face mask/taking on & off-when several others in waiting room chatting are having chemotherapy. Everyone else in surgical or FFP3 masks. Need think of others!

Just been able get a lift from husband to Centre for Life vaccination centre- for my first AZ jab-not really been up to getting here under my own steam. What a lovely bunch of people, I felt quite emotional-just wish I hadn’t had Covid19 myocarditis & LongCovid! Well done

Wonderful-your son looks fabulous & happy. Great to feel confident to be who we are & do what want to do.
My son’s school didn’t do Prom, but did RGS Yr13 leavers black tie do in 2021. He wore black tie w a more colourful 60s vintage suit.
He’s now studying architecture at ESALA
So in ambulatory care at RVI Newcastle for few hrs. They have been fantastic. have cannula, temp of 37.8, sinus tachy, v mild desats only on exertion. Good news chest X-ray ok. Ecg sinus tachy & no S1Q3T3 changes. So just waiting on d dimer & other bloods. 🙂

What tosh-from man who has moved business from UK to Singapore. The vaccine developed by scientists based in Oxford in conjunction with AZ could still have happened if UK in EU.
Pre Brexit UK companies could employ anyone from around the world, not just people from EU.
My view this morning- despite the rain- a wonderful view of Loch Long.
Going to spend much of the time sat watching the changing view & the wildlife. 😊

She’s potentially endangering people’s lives by stealing & throwing away equipment & certainly if what they threw away were people’s completed PCR tests!
If this woman doesn’t want to follow science & medical advice-that’s silly enough, but she& others behaviour truly shocking!

NHS does a marvellous job 4 millions of people everyday-is 1 of the most cost effective healthcare systems in world. It functions on goodwill of its excellent workforce who continue 2 provide fantastic care despite understaffing & underfunding. It needs our support

Yes, 227,000 are University students from overseas on visas. Also with emigration out of UK- the net difference is .~130,000 not 500,000.
British Rail was very lean & cost effective before privatisation started by Tory PM John Major.
Sadly the passengers have lost out, the tax payers have lost out
£64.4 BILLION more than if had allowed British Rail to continue.

It seemed a good idea to make appointment at GP for blood tests & flu jab for 07.15- but not so fab at 06.30 when been awake in night, in pain & on oxygen until 03.30. At least husband taking me there/back.
Long day for the GP Practice-their last appointment at 7 pm!

Hair cut in my kitchen- the lovely Abby has just been to cut my hair- my head feels lighter & I’m feeling chilled out- I’ve always loved having my hair played with- so I’m now in ‘the zone’.
I’m not having a very good week-but we Cushings are made of resilient stuff!
So please bear with me if I seem a bit deflated.
And of course I have much to be really thankful for.
Here’s a photo of some snowdrops in my garden. 😊

Yes! I’ve a chronic neurological disability since Aug 2018, LongCovid since catching Covid19 Mar 2020. My life is diminished. I’m pretty good w dealing w uncertainty each day & try 2 get the most from life….but certainly not what I envisaged 4 career/income/family/social life.
Morning all!
Taking a little time off this Twitter account- it’s a great way to stay connected esp when unable to work/socialise as I did before I became unwell.
Has felt a lifeline but too much negative & less pleasant stuff around which not so good.
Have a good week

You seem 2 b saying you’re against inclusivity of people who are LGBTQIA & yet want a meeting critical of those who are LGBTQIA at a venue who wishes 2 b inclusive/supportive.
I wld similarly expect the venue not 2 have a meeting by those criticising me as a heterosexual woman.🏳️🌈

What an appalling & churlish thing 2 say about a woman who’s been in jail, at times in solitary confinement, traumatised by being apart from her husband/daughter & life on hold. Of course she’s entitled to disagree w husband(she did respectfully too!)

Empowering-but important to note that women can empower others by role modelling self belief, self assurance in everyday life & relationships as well as success in sport & professional roles. 💪
Had a super time in Lucca & Florence (husband has certainly got his daily workout in Florence pushing me around in my wheelchair!).
Rather looking forward to getting home and seeing our cat.

V rough calculation -commercial HEPA air purifier at ~£450 each- so £1000 per classroom w CO2 monitor. In England 8.9 million school students-so divided by 30 to give no of classrooms, then x by £1000=£300 million. Likely cheaper if bulk contract. Didn’t include running costs.
The rushing of Queen’s family 2 b with her, making me teary-brings back memories of rushing from Newcastle 2 Norwich when my mum dying. My train broke down at Durham-I jumped in a taxi overwrought-driver said he’d drive me to Norwich-but had 2 let his mam know he’d be back late!

Actually Helen, they’re not tested for 10 years; it takes years 2 get paperwork sorted/accepted, lots of hoops 2 jump thro before can even begin, then usually an issue recruiting participants at each stage, which are done sequentially, rather than in large numbers & in parallel

I try is v concerning. HEPA filters in waiting room & consulting rooms. Staff to wear FFP2/3. Strongly recommend face masks when attending appointments- all things that the government could have been helping with over past 23 months!

Not issue free, but speaking as a doctor and as a patient- our NHS system was in a much better state before the Tories came to power. It makes me both sad and very angry!
Is a large warehouse which equipment coming out of.
Some taken away in unmarked white vans- maybe that equipment isbeing used in NHS or at least sold?
Has been happening apparently for weeks I’m told.
@JonGullisMP
Not sure why it took you days to ‘soul search’ and to find that you’d behaved abominably.
It was an appalling thought to cross you mind & then to shout out in HoC.
Shameful.
