No, Mr Higgins, Eastern European children are not your flesh shields.
President Higgins has another go at NATO. He would have an entirely different sensibility if he lived in the Baltic states or others that know Russian predation. He continues to exemplify Ireland’s ‘ostrich’ mentality when it comes to security and defence. We need to grow up.

Let me get this straight - the EU was too weak to decide to stop financing the Russian war machine themselves so Ukraine had to make the decision for us.
The EU has been paying Putin €1.4 bn monthly for natural gas imports from Russia. These gas imports - and associated payments - should have stopped long ago, but - along with EU double-talk on sanctions - this was once again left to fester. Good that Ukraine now shuts this down.
