My dad did this when he was building our Holiday Home at Lake Malawi over 20 years ago. Raised it 1.5m with a stone foundation. Folks said he was doing too much. 2023 & 2024, cylones + heavy rains = flooding & high water levels. Beach gone. House surrounded by water but untouched.
When I was building my cabin everyone told me not to worry about a 100 year flood event and the cost of raising the cabin 12ft wasn’t worth whatever risk I thought I was seeing. Not 5 years later I had a 1000 year flood event and not a single drop of water got inside my cabin.

I just love Ramadan. I make dua that needs an immediate answer, Allah grants it 💖. Even outside of Ramadan, whenever I am able to pray Fajr, those are also the days when I see my immediate-need duas granted. Subhanallah 🤗. I pray my medium & long term ones shall be too 🤲🏼.
