Newsom's claim that CA is enjoying a 50-year crime low is a whopper - he, the CA Legislature and CA Democrats have redefined many violent crimes via props 47/57. They even redefined "recidivism."
Newsom says we're at a 50-year-low in CA for violent crime. He's leaving out that due to Prop 47 and 57 many things that ARE violent crimes are no longer charged as violent crimes, and he's leaving out that people aren't reporting crimes because nobody gets prosecuted.
