Speaker McCarthy's plan to add a work req. to Medicaid is not only misguided but also out of touch with the needs of the American people. By creating barriers to healthcare, Speaker McCarthy is making it more difficult for vulnerable populations to access the care they need. 1/3.
The new debt limit plan from Speaker McCarthy includes a work requirement for Medicaid. This would require a complex verification process to weed out a small number of Medicaid enrollees who don't already work or qualify for exemptions.
