My understanding is he had visa issues & did not let AEW know. Because of those issues he couldn't leave the US to go to All In. I read that is what caused them to remove him from the whole Swerve angle. They were not pleased.

I stopped watching WWE before AEW existed, it was Impact/NJPW/GCW things like that for me. AEW really brought me back as a regular fan. I now go to shows because of them. So... same.

I work in government. Tax credits always are transferred. There is nothing unusual about this. Being a miserable person wanting thousands of people to lose their jobs must not be a great way to live. But people do it.
When AEW finally collapses the Khan family suing former employees for the clear shell game money moving and ridiculous expenses being racked up - because Tony is an oblivious fool being used as an ATM gassed up by his employees living large off him - is going to be fun to watch

I don't watch WWE, I haven't in years. AEW brought me back. I was not thrilled when Punk showed up in AEW, I have never been a huge fan. When he got his own show I was disgusted. I watched his promo from last night. I didn't think he could get worse, he's a bag chasing carny.

As SRS mentioned earlier, it was always the plan to have him do this with the large NBA lead in. It's smart for TV. There is no afterthought, you go from the NBA to Swerve, you will likely keep some of those viewers.
