Played Little League with a kid who was better than those who went pro from my town. Why didn't he? - Weed.Got a scholarship to local private HS in NJ, literally Phil Simms @PhilSimmsQB knocked on his door to speak to his family when the downhill spiral was beginning.
During high school I saw weed take over the lives of 10-20 people. Including student athletes. Good kids who were going places. They ended up staring at a black light / lava lamp. That was when it was illegal and low potency. Can’t imagine the numbers today.

I'm not going to quit drinking, but in my friend group growing up of about 10, 3 of their lives were ruined by alcohol. One in and out of rehab.One a paraplegic due to drunken boating accident.and another hard drug addict due to chronic pain from horrific drunk driving accident.
On alcohol. I’m not a holy roller yelling SINNER. Talk to some guys in their 40’s and 50’s. Ask them if they know someone who ruined his life to alcohol or died. You probably won’t find even one man without at least an example or five. Don’t ever take that first sip.

@politicalmath I'm pro-choice, but I 100% believe (a few) doctors in these states are intentionally denying care to women in these situations for political reasons. Literally playing games with their lives. Nobody believe a miscarriage is an abortion.

Would've made a world of difference. That 1/60 that Charters remove is unironically a major key to success.

I bet people still today wearing masks have a higher IQ than those who don't. IQ is not a perfect measure of intelligence. Similar to how GDP has many short comings when it comes to measuring wealth.
Something about all this doesn't compute. Quite possible that a huge country made up entirely of Asians is going to end up getting out-competed by . the United States.

Donald Trump can really reduce the temperature for the remainder of the election and condemn political violence of any stripe. He can start by telling his supporters it is not okay to call in bomb threats against Haitians and attack immigrants or political opponents.

It would be a similar improvement in quality of life that people in El Salvador have felt since Bukele rounded up the criminals. Crime would go down, schools would improve, esp local taxes would go down, housing prices down, etc.
