Just wrote about this in my February issue of AIA. Sentiment towards gold is horrible. All the smart people say it is a relic. Meanwhile many gold mining companies swimming in cash and restraining themselves from dumb projects and takeovers. Could surprise many in 2022.

In a 100 million barrel per day market that appears to have limited spare capacity this could be a problem. We didn’t even talk about conclusion of SPR or Russian supply drop. We could be short 4-5 mbpd at some point next year. Spike well above $100. No one is expecting it.
