The message is that she wasn't fired for plagerism or allowing speech opposed to Israel. She was fired for being black. This way, they get her out without having to address DEI. In fact, maybe they get to increase it.

As diasporas grow and vie for power, they will increasingly lean on accusations of racism to push for greater power for their race.
Cultures that have been in conflict for all of human history are now in our homelands and are almost strong enough to resume the conflicts here.
Racism allegations only increase, not decrease, as a country diversifies because "racism" becomes any opinion a white person holds that differs from what the growing minority wants. This is every political discussion going forward...

But if you teach that no matter how decent, brave, or heroic they are, their legacy is at the whim of the biggest whiners or worse, their enemies, what does that tell them?
