@RobertOhlendorf and team uses #optogenetics as a contrast agent for live imaging of bioluminescent reporters throughout the entire brain. A great idea that he calls #BLUsH - congratulations Robert and looking forward to what comes next #ROIT🍾🥳
We developed BLUsH to image optical signals throughout the mammalian brain using MRI. Thanks to @NaNeuroimage and colleagues at the Jasanoff Lab @MITdeptofBE and @mitbrainandcog for the great work!

@ShouguangH58229 @Gao_SQ @JWietek This is an interesting discussion!pH3 in oocytes means a proton gradient about 4 orders of magnitude across the membrane and still, there are K+ outward currents…so even if hckcr conducts H+ under extreme conditions, why not using an other ChR? Most conduct H+better then hckcr😅
