We have a surveillance department in every district for insurance and security purposes. The cameras run 24/7, even at night when the busses are parked. I'd imagine some polices vary from district to district, but not the drivers' responsibility for student safety.

Agreed. I would have handled that student from the very beginning, but that's an elderly man driving that bus. I'm 43, 190 and could twist that kid into a knot. Most of our drivers are older. 60+ retirees supplementing their income, mostly women. Most would be helpless.

Back when I was in middle and high school, I was a best friend to those who needed friends. I volunteered to help the kids in resource classes, and tutored... but back then kids weren't soulless like this. The few that were got beat down, and that probably scared the rest.
