The U.S. Ambassador was supposed to visit JNU... and then he had to back out. We stand with the protesting students in various campuses in U.S. who are being targeted for standing with Palestine. We will not allow GENOCIDERS any space in our campus. Free Palestine 🇵🇸✊

On #WomenFarmersDay , a photo story on the incredible hard yards that women put in each day in agriculture. The landowner here in Anantapur is standing tall while the row of 9 women workers doubled over, are doing transplantation work on his field. 📷 @PSainath_org | 1/n

Britain drained a total of nearly $45 trillion from India during the colonial period. That's 17 times more than the total annual GDP of the United Kingdom today. It's a staggering sum.

Here's a terrific explanation from James Galbraith of the latest US mess that the world has been watching in horror - the Texas power collapse that resulted from electricity deregulation.

This is the moment for massive expansion of MNREGA, beginning with 200 days work per rural household and enlarging the list of permissible works - and for developing a works programme for urban areas.

If this is an example of an "monumental failure", then we should have had some more "monumental failures", coz this "monumental failure" is the only semblance of hope for crores of migrant labor, which had no choice but to move back to villages on account of a flawed Vikas model.
