@DrNeilStone School lunches are terrible. 10% of the SNAP program should not go to sugary drinks for school kids. (For the record I don’t think he’s right for the job). He’s definitely right about some things, and also very wrong about others.

@KudzuCanopy @KJOkState @WallStreetApes We’d love to. But I’m not sure how? Open to suggestions Sometimes social media can be a powerful way to fight back by increasing awareness.

@johnrudoff @dr_cellini I should also say that the admin time is never “really” protected. I still round, occasionally operate and see folks who need to be seen quickly, plenty of phone calls to discus biopsy results and path, and ALWAYS taking texts and calls from referring docs (even on vacation)

@Debbie_upperr @dr_cellini I agree. Totally. But if taking call, waiting for INR results, doing procedures off hours, going to tumor board is what drives someone out - that’s the person, not the system.

@dr_cellini You deserve to be happy, and if you don’t like doing this then you should leave clinical medicine so good call. But your training spot went to waste, and as PDs we need to be better at spotting folks like you and matching someone else/ and yes I’ll die on this hill.

@dr_cellini Wow. As a residency PD we need better ability to identify doctors like this and NOT pick them. I wonder who was just after you on the rank list. You wasted a training slot. We all have parts of the practice that stink.

@davidevelasqu Love this. Congratulations. My pre med advisor said something similar to me. I’m now a PGY-20

@studentdrdemon I totally agree. We used to have a 3 day window on biopsy results. I’d get the results, then have 3 days to discuss before the results were published. I always try and call promptly, but obviously as a surgeon that’s not always possible. The law changed all that.

@RenwickTaylor3 @realdocspeaks Maybe. While I also can’t read chicken scratch (surgeons aren’t unique with poor handwriting) I have to sift through pages upon pages of absolute garbage to find the important part of a note. Sometimes, I can’t find ANY important part.

@pagingdrsank Agreed. Also, I’ve leapfrogged most (but not all) of my friends in terms of finances, happiness, stature, and personal fulfillment with my life’s work. You may too.
