Health information interoperability: TEFCA and FHIR are billed as solution approaches to enabling the safe, secure, and appropriate sharing of our protected health information. As approaches, both are highly complex, over engineered, and completely unnecessary. They have been, and are, the preferred approaches of the entrenched healthcare cabals. The major accomplishment of each has been to slow down interoperability by a decade. The health IT/EHR vendors and their large hospital clients are happy with the confusion and resultant delay. The needs, wants, and opinions of physicians and their patients isn't really important to them.
🎥 Did you know that #HL7 is a global standards organization? Check out the new video clip that that breaks down what we do and why we do it! #healthIT #interoperability #HL7FHIR

If this is going to work, we need more lists of ideas like this! And, at the risk of being a PA, we'll also need a list of a the lists. This is NOT a job for government, someone or something in the community will need to take the lead.
Dear @JudiciaryGOP @SenJudiciaryGOP I ask little. Let others work on the Culture War stuff and the Deep State. I defer to their expertise. Just this: 1. Create at least one new circuit court of appeals out of the Ninth 2. Dissolve the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia; integrate its judges into other circuits 3. Take a hard look at the US District Court for the District of Columbia, besides folding it into the Fourth Circuit (or something). It’s not working. Perhaps limit its subject matter jurisdiction. One judicial district should not wield so much power over the national political process merely because of zip codes. Also my friend @JoshMBlackman has a bunch of other judicial reform ideas. Hold hearings - fast. cc @mrddmia @willchamberlain

@PresidentialMed @BrentAWilliams2 I'f always found organizing or coordinating physicians akin to coaching a synchronized swimming team comprised of unruly felines. But the lack of unity has served the profession poorly.

But things are changing -- and changing fast! If real reform is possible, do we have a list we can contribute? Does anyone have the list? - Principles - Objectives A list and description of what the public and the community want when dealing with healthcare. The health information improvement and health care reform discussions here on X are forming a diverse virtual community with common interests. We could do something.
