Our 5 hour drive home isn’t so bad after 4 wins! IL Wolves 16u finished undefeated in their UAA spring session. Proud of this kid and the way he plays the game. The whole team is very fun to watch, love the fight in them! 🔥💪🏽🐺🏀

One thing I will always enjoy to the fullest is watching this kid play basketball. It brings joy to my soul to see him doing what he loves and working towards his goals. To be able to be there to support him and cheer him on is EVERYTHING. ❤️

All these kids worried about write-ups, rankings and D1 offers that they can’t even sign yet while not even enjoying the moment. There’s nothing like high school sports. Enjoy the fun of the game while you can, kiddos. It will all be over before you know it.

I’m so proud of these athletes I see choosing workouts over parties, homework over Netflix, practice over sleeping in, perseverance over quitting, challenging themselves over being mediocre. Dedication to a sport to be the best they can be will carry over in all aspects of life.

It’s disturbing that I have seen social media ranking kids as young as 8. I don’t know how any adult actually thinks that is a good idea or is even necessary for this sport. Can we just get back to loving the game and teaching kids how to play and compete??🏀

It continues to amaze me (not it a good way) that no matter what sport my kids play (football, baseball, basketball) there are ALWAYS some parents (who have NEVER even played or coached at a high level) who think they know better than highly experienced coaches/programs. 🤦🏻♀️

Great coaches know when to call time outs and how to use them efficiently. There’s a lot that goes into coaching that most people don’t think about. God bless all the great coaches out there putting in work daily, teaching our kids the game and bringing out their best! 👏🏽

I just watched 2 summer league games last night where the defense, passing and consistently fast and smart movement of the ball was “wowing” the crowd more than the baskets being scored. Talk about fun to watch!! Looking forward to more of those! 💯

It’s not easy being a student athlete and succeeding in both areas. It’s school, practice/games/workouts, homework, sleep, repeat. Booked weekends and summers, little time for social life/hobbies, but that kind of dedication and sacrifice do not go unnoticed. Hard work pays off!

One of my pet peeves during a basketball game is when one team is up by a lot (so clearly is going to win the game) and the refs decide to stop reffing, meaning they stop calling fouls, travels, etc.

Teach your children that everyone isn't going to love them, and that's okay. Teach them to not let it determine their self worth. Teach them that they are so, SO much more than the sum of their accomplishments and other people's opinions…that their value is priceless!!
