“We are afflicted, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair.” — 2 Corinthians 4:8
Didn’t sleep much last night but thankful for a new day and to be able to rest on God’s good promises to us as we wrestle with a tough loss and prepare for the next year. The outlook
Ethan has one year of film, since he converted from a state championship soccer program to a semi-finalist in state football program his senior year. One of the hardest workers we’ve ever coached.
He’s also an unweighted 4.0 GPA student at an Illinois Blue Ribbon school. He’s
The boys played great. All heart.
The unsung heroes of this win were the assistant coaches. They schemed a game that held Viator to less points than any other previous opponent all season. Offense came through when it needed to. Kicking game sealed it.

Six former Wheaton Academy Warriors played in the Wheaton/North Central JV game last Saturday night. 14 Warrior FB players are on both teams' rosters. Both college programs are in the top 10 of DIII football.
Playing good football doesn't have to end in high school.

We held our inaugural Mother’s Brunch today after practice. The Senior boys prepared and served crepes, coaches taught offensive/defensive schemes and every mom received a hand written note from their son

"While these helmets are already worn by many NFL players, Wheaton Academy will be the first high school in Illinois to provide the advanced technology helmet to every player on the football team"
Last night our team showed perseverance by refusing to quit even when down by 14 late in the game. Unfortunately we came up short on the scoreboard, but we took a HUGE step in maturing as a team
So…apparently we packed the home stands with a record crowd during our week one matchup against Marian Central Catholic that we had to install more stands for tomorrow´s game. If you’ve never visited, this is a great place to watch high school football. Look at this stage!
This won’t sit well for some of our own players, but we are firm believers in multi-sport athletes. It’s good for the school and good for the body and mind.
@DigginTakes
I’ve always said…
Kids should play multiple sports and kids should be allowed to be kids.
I’m not against advanced leagues, better competition, etc.
But no kid should be playing one sport all year & no kid should be training “like a pro” until at least HS.
They’re kids.
This has been one of the greatest investments we have made in our program. We have seen a direct connection from the weight room to getting faster, reducing injury and improved overall athleticism
The weight room is one of the last bastions of hard work, accountability and discipline. It's positive impact stretches far beyond the courts and fields within the high school ecosystem.

Continuing their historic season, the Warriors are in the semis for the first time, when they head to Burbank to take on St. Laurence at 2 pm Saturday in the 4A north bracket.
Congratulations to Warriors

What a gift it was to have the

recruiters and Sgt. Hicklin lead us through a combat fitness test during our summer workouts.
We are grateful for their commitment to protect our nation and got a small taste of how hard they train.
