Some believe the omnipresent specter of gun death looming over our communities is a worthwhile trade-off for the opportunity for the average person to obtain and carry life-ending machines almost anywhere they go. I don’t. I don’t see it happening in my life, but the 2A must end.

I’d love to live in an America where no child has reason to fear their father might be shot dead by a stranger, much less in public and before their eyes. As long as gun rights are enshrined in both our Constitution and our culture, we cannot live in that world.
