China's strategy for since 1990s has been defensive in nature basically CN is surrounded by neighbours hostile and neutral plus geography which makes power projection difficult unlike the US which is protected by 2 of the largest oceans and two weak and friendly neighbours
Is China building a blue water navy? Yes, and it is a statement: China no longer accepts a world order where others control the most vital routes of power. There was too much to write in a thread. Link in the comments.

@Utkarsh50755661 Your talking about development industrialization was Mao steel, missiles, satellites, military industrial base everything that made china over and above it's income peers was Mao without Mao you don't get modern china simple Deng's reforms would have led to a Brazil situation

@ijkTA1619 @JZ281C Exactly all this folks saying china is only focusing on Taiwan are naive Taiwan isn't even the main issue it's about protecting Chinese trade and prosperity which means a global navy that can project power all the way off the US coast is needed
