@MohanPainu74160 @Kendrick_m4 @Kanthan2030 In China there is still a sense that the country is overpopulated. Most people would prefer that the country have 700M rather than 1.4B people.

@Kendrick_m4 @Kanthan2030 Raising children is not expensive as long as you don't compete to give the best of everything to your kids.

@ShazCoder @DavidLiptonWI Austrians also talk about this a lot in their Austrian Business Cycle theory. The process of capital deepening increase productivity, but over-expansion of capital during the business cycle leads to miscalculation at the micro level.

Brutal but true. We are going through a population bottleneck. Population genetics coming out the other side will have different distribution than present. Average of the future will be 90 percentile today.
Men think girls have it easy on Tinder because they get 1.000 matches on a weekend. But 99% of the matches are of this quality or even worse. The average man has no wit, no confidence, no empathy, no understanding of women, and is extremely thin-skinned. Oh, and he's also broke, stingy and selfish. I don't blame women for preferring to be single or just picking handsome guys for casual sex. Being alone with a cat and occasionally getting railed by random chads is oftentimes preferable to having a relationship with an average man who offers nothing, and is a net-negative factor in your life. Yes, I know, you could say the same thing about the average woman, who brings less value to a relationship than a $30 Thai sex worker. I guess declining birth rates are just part of today's evolution process. The ugly, selfish and incompetent will be removed from the gene pool. The capable ones will remain.

@Kanthan2030 @JamesH1834 Solar panels last way longer than 30 years. Solar panels from early 80s are still functional. The warranty is for at least 80% of initial capacity after 30 years.

@AhmetCanErbey1 Gorbachev believed that radical reforms would save the Soviet Union. Deng went for gradualism instead.

@GreyRabbitFin @alfray7 Gold doesn't automatically create trust. It just shifts the mode of failure from inflation to default. Someone was proposing to issue 100 year gold backed USTs after gold repricing. The problem is, who would trust that the US would honor gold repayment after 100 years?
