Thinking like this is a curse imo. Like, Nazis have nothing to lose by 'chilling out' (whatever that really means), queer people have a lot to lose by entertaining people who don't think it's important to foreground other minorities.
I have unironically had better luck convincing open nazis to chill out with the hating gays and minorities than I have convincing a solid 40% of the current left that it’s okay to still talk to people who prefer the old pride flag to the new one, so I’m making my own left I guess

@TEnglishSport Is it 'toonie's time' know it's the biggest question, but if they can't mentally recreate the attitude from the SA game, how can they muscle up when it matters? Would love to see fresh blood at the top level. Real question is, who do yous think would be the people for the job?

@SamLStandsUp Scotland have suffered, but also have gone hard on the multiple playmakers idea (Russell, Tuipolotu, KH) I think it's the part of our game that we've the most to benefit from, and are going hard for.

@LinguistJosh Genuinely I feel that Scotland's general attitude of greater acceptance etc is due to: a sentiment that we are disrespected in UK politics generally (connected to our troubled relationship w England), and that Scotland is much poorer in general than England.

Trump's position on Palestine wasn't an issue in the election, because it was obvious, and not going to change, the Dems were happy to let a fascist walk in

As cinematographers lighting a scene, we ask ourselves: “Where is the light coming from, if it were naturally in the environment?” Then we try to supplement that with our own lights. Here for example: the key light on the face could potentially be coming from a nearby storefront.

It's so fascinating because it's so revealing of their position: we are too privileged to care, we gave you a pittance of rights and nothing else, and you didn't pay us back by endlessly voting for the continued decline of your own livelihoods.
I like how liberals have all just collectively decided that candidates don't have to actually TRY and win votes, they can just sit there and expect them to roll in, making the electorate evil if it doesn't go their way like maybe Kamala Harris had some fucking responsibilities?

because they're sticking to the tactics they established before the election, they thought they can use the fact that the opposition were worse to win votes, so now that they are in and doing horrible shit: they're maintaining that messaging
