@Michael_Cerami @Feinsand reported the Cubs offer had opt outs after years 2 and 3. Feel like they made a competitive offer and he chose an even better one. Hard to fault any of the finalists here.

@TheBlogfines I’d call on Cease and King now knowing Pivetta put them that far over the tax. I know Miami said they were planning to hold onto Sandy Alcantara, but I’d make that call too if you have the understanding that he’s good coming off TJ. Can’t just let that Bellinger money sit there.

@DEvanAltman After that Pivetta deal, my interest has shifted to Justin Turner and trading for Dylan Cease. Can always target a bat in July if need be.

@jacobzanolla @blakecowellx @PitcherList Wait until June and do a Sandy Alcantara for Kevin Alcantara trade.

@jacobzanolla This has never made sense to me on why they’d move him. Shaw can bounce around like Javy did in 2015/2016.

@FullCountTommy I’m probably good either way, but my preferred plan may be keeping the flexibility to add an impact bench bat and Sandy Alcantara at the deadline. Miami is in complete sell mode and I think they’re using the first few months to build Sandy’s value up.

@timeforjeffrey Once I get a few days away from the SB, the Walter Nolen/whoever EDGE2 is love for me at 12 may wear off and I’ll be back on Egbuka as the pick. I know it’s dangerous to say but he seems to be as much of a can’t miss as you may have available.

@timeforjeffrey If Tennessee called and offered you pick 1, pick 35 and their 2026 1 for Parsons, would you do it?

@timeforjeffrey Is taking a RB in the first 3 rounds a luxury for this team? The best route may be Rico/trade for veteran + your early 5th.

@BrandonThornNFL @Marcus_Mosher I do believe this point was their willingness to spend cash to structure their contracts differently than the rest of the league. Complete buy in from top to bottom.
