Hospitals and schools should be the safest places in the world, with the appropriate mitigations in place for the sickest and the youngest, and for those who care for them and nurture them.

Agree. And journalism institutions need to be required to give reporters time to fact check 🚔 reports. When I was on daily news (long ago) I would be handed a 🚔 report and given 20 min to write up an article. That’s a big part of why these things aren’t fact-checked.

My relative has POTS. In their 20s, pre diagnosis, they fainted in a bathtub and almost died from the fall/drowning. The EMTs told the parents my relative was “100% on drugs and lying about it.” (They weren’t). I think about that often.

I’ve never met anyone on meds who didn’t need them, but I sure have met a lot of ppl who were not on the meds that they needed to be on. Between cost of care, stigma, and the drug war, we are actually significantly under-medicated IMHO

My dad died 2/23/22. He was 67
Went to hospital in early Feb. for trouble breathing & tested COVID+. Sent home w oxygen. Collapsed at home 2/23. Taken to hospital. By then was testing COVID negative
Death certificate says renal failure caused cardiac arrest. No mention of COVID

Methadone is unavailable to most people. You have to pay for it (most insurance won’t cover) and you have to be able get there every single day, at a specific time, job schedule/travel be damned. And if you can’t walk & don’t have a license someone else has to too

My aunt died 4/28/22 after a perforated ulcer caused sepsis. Ulcer was caused by excessive NSAID use she resorted to bc her doctor refused to adequately treat her pain. He didn’t even send a card. Just filled her next appt w another patient.
They have never cared when we die.

I had to have my gallbladder taken out after being vegan for 4 months in 2007 bc I didn’t do it well & I stopped eating nearly all fat bc I didn’t know what to eat. And that’s just as bad for your gb as eating too much fat. This def seems like a vegan/low-fat product?

My dad died of a “heart attack” & “renal failure” in Feb. 2022 according to his death certificate. The COVID he has been diagnosed with, and hospitalized for 3 weeks before his death was nowhere on the death certificate. Also meant no COVID burial funds to cover his funeral.
