I wonder if Mitch rues the day he failed to convict Trump in the Senate and rid the USA of Trump forever.
Mitch McConnell, the only Republican senator to vote against RFK says of his nomination: “Individuals, parents and families have a right to push for a healthier nation and demand the best possible scientific guidance on preventing and treating illness,” it read in part. “But a record of trafficking in dangerous conspiracy theories and eroding trust in public health institutions does not entitle Mr. Kennedy to lead these important efforts.”

@AlanEnglish9 Hey Alan, I’ve seen this misuse of Irish Independent logo over and over again which would appear to violate trademarks. It seems like fake news also. Can someone at Independent Newspapers look into it?

Where’s the Military Industrial Complex when you need them?
@atrupar Europe and Ukraine need to exclude the US from any negotiations about Ukraine's future. The US under Trump is simply a Putin friend & an enemy of Ukraine, Europe and democracy.

@fellawrites @thejournal_ie Bit of an exaggeration there methinks. It’s not like the US government is handing us money. It is earned by Irish workers adding value in large multinational companies which are incorporated in the USA (I should know) But, I wouldn’t be anxious to make an enemy of them either.

@BryanMa50902802 @Muinchille Kindly get stuffed. Drive from Donegal (one of the least prosperous counties of the Republic) to the North and there is a night and day difference. Northern Ireland is a failure. The Republic is a prosperous modern republic.

@BryanMa50902802 @Muinchille Standard of living in Ireland is higher these days… The British Empire fell apart once the Irish stopped helping you run it.

@BryanMa50902802 @Muinchille We’re doing fine thanks. Strong economic growth, plenty jobs, infrastructure is in good shape and society is relatively stable and coherent.

@DiarmuidWinston @GerHerbert1 They could start with removing the most polluting vehicles. Those I object to the most are the poorly maintained vehicles spewing out thick black or blue smoke that really lingers. No way they’d pass an NCT, but where’s the enforcement?

@MaryKenny4 @DanMulhall Anyone who regards the current American Administration as anything other than a Far Right one is essentially a sneaking regarder of the same. He’s an idiot, a dangerous hateful idiot, who’s appointed a Neo Nazi with a God complex to a key role in his administration.

@jeff4_democracy It’s political grandstanding without a Majority. But perhaps some Republican Senators might be tempted to back it, (or face the finger pointing afterwards for not doing so).

@meanderingtripe If that was indeed true, it would end up giving Musk a bit of credibility and humanity for once!

@davidtobin100 @adrianweckler I have concerns about Tesla build quality, servicing and controls (not a big fan of touchscreens). But all of those negatives are vastly out shadowed by Musk’s behaviour. No way am I subsidising a Nazi.
