TPE FOI request reveals that, of all the stations with ticket offices, they're used **more** than TVMs are - despite TVMs being available 24/7.

I'll keep saying it - long trains with level boarding, family zones, restaurant car. Do a world of difference in how people view the railway and will create model shift.

Simpler fares is by making a simple fare. Flat rate fare that can be discounted by limiting flexibility.
They seem to have gone with flat rate being the anytime ticket only. Everything else is limited flexibility and is confusing.
LNER being the SNCF of England, and I hate it.

Honestly, Parc Asterix operations are insanely impressive.
25 seconds from the point the restraint OPENS to dispatch.
There's a screen in the corner that times down from 45 seconds and it rarely goes under 20 left.
The baggage trolley is utterly brilliant too.

10 years ago we had quite a snowstorm at Towers.
Spent the day clearing the snow just for it to snow again overnight and lay the same amount down.
Had a huge rides snowball fight in thirteens queue. Absolute highlight of working in rides there.

Sly dig there - but correct. LNER (and East Coast in general) have opened up bookings for far longer than other routes.
Others should be copying the ECML, not potentially reducing the time frame.

On this day, nine years ago, there was an incident at a Theme Park which changed the lives of a fair few people forever.
It also changed safety standards and the place still isn't the same as it was prior to then. I'll never forget the day.
