Planning permission for Project Horizon at

has tonight been approved by the council. The 20-metre high building is set to be built behind the world of David Walliams and the Alton Towers Dungeon. But what it will house inside is still being kept top secret!

John Broome CBE, the property developer who established Alton Towers as a theme park has passed away.
The news was announced by Imperial Corporate Capital, where he was recently working.
We send our condolences to his family and friends.

A competition has been announced by
@altontowers
to get the last public ride on Nemesis when it closes on 6th November. The final riders will also be joined by John Wardley! The prize also includes a Q&A, park access and Fastrack Gold passes for the day.
Construction fences are currently being installed around the new ride area in Forbidden Valley, which means construction might be starting shortly on the areas new ride! 👀

Nemesis Reborn is now confirmed to open on Saturday 16th March!
Divisional Director Bianca Sammut says the ride "retains its essential DNA, while harnessing the most state-of-the-art technology and immersive storytelling techniques"

We’ve just had some information come through from the Phalanx regarding Nemesis this weekend:
⚠️ The Phalanx investigation will commence from 7pm at Nemesis on the 6th.
⚠️ An important public announcement will also occur post fireworks (7.30pm) on The Lawns.
Planning permission for the former Ripsaw site has been approved.
Known as Project Ocean, a sound assessment report also refers to noise levels being compared to a "similar Topspin style attraction"

The ride has received a significant investment over the past year, with enhancements throughout the ride, including a new show system, lighting and more.
It’s also been announced that they hope to reopen Hex this autumn.

Merlin have now put the Towers behind a paywall, with the announcement of guided tours, which will reduce the number of guests who will be allowed to look inside this iconic ruin

Nemesis Sub-Terra has had plenty of work over the winter, including new queue line, speakers and a repaint and clean. The Phalanx have also returned to the rides entrance.
