Bird flu is literally in NYC parks, a virus that even the CDC explicitly says requires EYE PROTECTION and RESPIRATORY PROTECTION to stay safe. God forbid ppl don't want ash in their eyes either! No amount of language will change the fact that a mask ban will kill people.

I am not exaggerating when I say people are online DAILY asking for tips on how to "safely" starve and dehydrate themselves so they don't have to break their mask seals at work because taking it off means being infected and they can't risk another or any infection.
The thing is with covid, it DOES have to be this extreme “all or nothing” approach, because the rest of y’all are doing nothing, while we have to overcompensate and do everything. We have to be perfect and strict about our precautions because it literally means life or death

Was told verbatim that it didn't make sense to enforce masking when "nobody else does" and that it "wouldn't do anything about the spread of disease" 😭
At this point I think most people on the left are fully aware of covid, its consequences and that they should be masked up.
I think they are intentionally ignoring the ppl talking about it because they feel fine that so many others are doing the same. They are comfortable.
